Florence Broadhurst / Kate Spade Spring 2012 Campaign

I'm dying over here; the new Kate Spade campaign is sick! Loving that they've paid homage to Florence Broadhurst--designer of extraordinary hand-printed wallpaper in the 60s! Florence's flamboyant style had a variety of influences: her native Australia, Moroccan textiles, Renaissance motif. You know how I feel about a strong graphic statement--the black and cream floral--creamsicle and hot pink? Striking! The last photo is Ms. Broadhurts's Cockatoos, one of her more artistically successful wallpapers.

Rebecca Ward for Kate Spade

Images via Rebecca Ward.

This post is all about latching into synchronicity! I was perusing Oh Joy! and came across this amazing installation created by artist Rebecca Ward. The title of the work is "primes under 1000"--it was created using gaffers tape and is a site specific design for the Kate Spade Aoyama flahip in Tokyo. Just earlier this week I posted about the KS stripes! Coolness.

Kate Spade Silicone iPhone Cover

The Kate Spade flagship on 5th Avenue was redesigned this past summer. I love the groovy interiors and details from the store's new design inspired a lot of the decorative elements for my wedding. (More on that in future posts!) The fantastical striped wallpaper in the store has been duplicated for the brand new Kate Spade Silicone iPhone cover. Of course I snapped it up pronto. Coolest accessory ever.
