Loving these! I'm having a bit of a nostalgic moment here. I attended high school in Miami, Florida and a few of my friends wore these boats shoes--especially the boys--although they did not participate in any nautical sports. They'd wear these top-siders in brown with khakis rolled up to the ankle and Lacoste polos with the collar popped up. I thought it was such a cool look. My mother disapproved of anything faddish or designer. Plus, we couldn't afford it. Hence, my love affair with vintage coupled with the desire to participate in trends that I missed the first time around.
